Weinberger was short enough already.

I would demand reparations.
You also are an asshole...so?
In any case, I work at a golf course with lots...LOTS...of Asian players. The custom among Koreans, for instance, is a polite bow to each other. I often observe the custom.
But then again, I am a free man who is not an asshole...so I guess there is that difference.

Well it depends on the circumstances. If I was in England I would consider it a great honor and I would adhere to respectful protocol to which I believe non British Subjects are not required to bow.
Here in the US would be pretty much the same but no I wouldn’t bow but I’m pretty sure that would not be expected of me.
If I was representing my government then bowing to anyone is prohibited.

It’s not like you’re required to. At an official level I agree with you. I’m an American and it is our tradition and I’m required to bow to no one.
So let me flip that on you. If you’re in Asia and someone bows to you in a sign of respect would you return that bow when it is in no way required?

The interesting thing, I reckon,is that this bowing is an American fantasy anyway. I'd never choose to meet the Queen myself - you have to call her 'Mam' (the way you say Ma'am, I gather) and not speak until spoken to - but she certainly seems hugely superior to Trumf as a Head of State, though if Carlo should ever succeed it might be pushing it. It is like being a Prime Minster for the Brexiteer nutters, however, taking that job: nobody without an incredible sense of duty would touch it!
