A Pasco County substitute teacher was arrested Saturday after deputies say he got into a fight at a sports bar.
It happened at about 2:07 a.m. at Joe Whiskey's Sports Bar.
Jason Michael Mills, 48, entered the bar and was engaged in a verbal altercation with a bartender, and then with the victim, who is a bouncer at the business.
Mills reportedly then tried to punch the bouncer. However, the bouncer instead punched him. He was detained until law enforcement arrived.
Multiple witnesses identified Mills as the aggressor. He was extremely intoxicated and belligerent when law enforcement arrived.

The elementary school teacher charged this week with sexual assault of a child was dismissed from a Catholic seminary after an official at a school where he worked informed church officials of concerns about him.
In 2014, an official from Pine Ridge Indian Reservation contacted the Archdiocese of Omaha about Gregory Sedlacek, said Tim McNeil, spokesman for the archdiocese.
Sedlacek’s contract with the school district wasn’t renewed because he had violated a policy on maintaining appropriate boundaries with children, McNeil said.
McNeil said the official wrote “in confidence” that even though Sedlacek had not committed sexual abuse or criminal acts, the official “felt a moral obligation to let us know.” McNeil said the archdiocese didn’t later inform Omaha Public Schools of Sedlacek’s dismissal.
Sedlacek was arrested after other teachers at Fontenelle Elementary School contacted the Nebraska child abuse hotline.
Two teachers said they had seen inappropriate conduct that day between Sedlacek and a first-grade girl on the school playground.
A prosecutor said in court Wednesday that the teachers saw Sedlacek touching the 7-year-old girl’s buttocks and legs under her skirt and that the girl sat on his lap at the bottom of a slide.
