I don't know about that but he certainly has my vote for Turtle of the year.

    My guesses:

    • Trump (obv choice)
    • Mueller (also possible, not sure tho)
    • Women (times does this sometimes and gives it to a group, totally conceivable they do something stupid like "the year of the women" or something completely retarded)

I can't really think of other people that have hugely impacted the news. If you want to correctly predict, it needs to be someone that's been in the news a lot and someone the times will want to circlejerk over (either negatively or positively)
The first two I'd say no. Time rarely honors the same person two years in a row. Mueller is sooooo 2016. So...no there too.

Since they pissed off the left with Trump last year my guess is that Kap will win the award this year to piss off the right. Now your #3 bet is probably your best bet. I have "#me too" as my number 2 bet.

    My bets are;

    #1. Emmanuel Macron
    #2. The #Me Too movement
    #3. Kap

He's still a fucking turtle and has the charm and charisma of one. No way is it McConnell.

    First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Notice that the press would still enjoy freedom of speech like the rest of us, but they would have to defend freedom of speech as a matter of self-interest instead of only defending their constitutional privilege while they feed the rest us to Socialist/Communist wolves.

You sounded good till you ran off the rails there at the end with the Red Scare rant about commies. You just want the press to defend rightwing ideals?

To Troll: Read my response again. Freedom of speech defends everyone’s ideals; whereas, the press only defended the Left’s ideals since the 1920s.

The basic test of freedom is perhaps less in what we are free to do than in what we are free not to do. It is the freedom to refrain, withdraw and abstain which makes a totalitarian regime impossible. Eric Hoffer

Can Time be far behind the Financial Times?

Call it Saddiq Khan's London. Call it Jeremy Corbin's London. The right call is to note the unmitigated gall of the Financial Times, the bible of the securities marketplace, having bestowed its "Person of the Year" honoraria upon fellow globalist George Soros.

While The Hague fiddles as George Soros ages (currently 88), with nary an interested tribunal convened for his participation in the Holocaust, his is a case deserving of dispensing charges related to "crimes against Humanity," the "smoking gun," his own "undisputed truth" offered during a CBS 60 Minutes interview (Sunday, December 20, 1998), concerning his youth as a willing "aide de camp" to a non-Jewish "godfather" – a serf in Hungary's Ministry of Agriculture, having groomed a willing Soros to accompany him on his appointed rounds delivering deportation notices and cultivating lists of the properties confiscated from Soros's fellow Jews – Soros with requisite clipboard, the Jews on their requisite death march to Auschwitz. In the interview, Soros offered no less than soulless quips, defending his conduct of complicity under the Reich.

When questioned by correspondent Steve Kroft as to his activities, Soros maintained, "My character was made because I thought ahead anticipating events," adding, "The confiscations weren't difficult at all."

The Democrat Party’s deck of talking points would be obsolete without the Nazi card. A charge of ‘Nazi’ trumps every conservative issue and every conservative, while Democrats high and low lineup to get a handout from an old Nazi.

FYI the results are in, time gave it to specific journalists that put their life in danger. super weak sauce imo
NPC is a beloved internet personality. Their pronouns are he/him. NPC fully recognizes the inherent privilege of being able to post on a message board, and as such NPC makes sure to avoid all social media where the trust and safety council flags something as dangerous to think about. He avoids all tweets that are disputed, and only supports mainstream news sources where former CIA, NSA and FBI serve as talking heads. The future is female, orange man bad, black lives matter, and wear a damn mask!
