Default CVS customer uses lengthy store receipt as window-blind slat,

Last month, a Washington, D.C., woman tweeted a viral photo of a CVS receipt that appeared to be nearly 6 feet long.
"Some personal news: CVS gave me a 5'8' receipt today," Emma Keane tweeted.

She said she received the receipt after purchasing just three items.

Yeah, CVS can go a wee bit overboard sometimes with the receipts.

Oh they are insane. Office Max is pretty bad about super long receipts too, but nobody touches CVS for wasted paper.

And that stuff at the end is just special offers and coupons. I like the way Meijer does it, they just print out the coupons separately.

Sure but they are fairly useless coupons. I don't go there much any more. Used to have to go there a lot for an elderly relative, but since they passed, I go maybe once a year at most. Same with Walgreens. My strip mall doc in the box will fill my prescriptions from them in house if I want, and otherwise I go to a local owned pharmacy in a sketchy part of town that is super fast and fairly cheap. If it is a new prescription, it takes maybe ten minutes in to out. If it is a refill, it is like 2 minutes. A lot of chain pharmacies make you wait whether they need you to wait or not so you will shop for other things while enduring their manufactured delays.

I get annoyed at Walgreens, because they are often out of insulin......seriously?......is there any other drug which is used so predictably.....they have a database of users who come in and how much they get.....order accordingly......

That was one of my complaints. I would go pick up the prescriptions for someone, take them to them, and then find out that they only filled a few days or a week's worth and I would have to come back yet again to get the rest of them. I was told that is because they have all their pharmacies filling mail-order prescriptions, nursing home prescriptions and the like and they don't want to run the pill mill short so walk-in people get the shaft.
