The Fake Newsers always protect the narrative at the expense of journalism—hence, the term lol.

More probably, the Climate Tax is the straw the broke the camels back. The French working class shares some of the same gripes the working class here do: low wages due to immigration, we/they rebel against unfettered immigration generally, while the EU just keeps doubling down on it.

In short, what’s going on in Paris is a rebellion against globalism and the alternative to globalism is nationalism. It’s a French nationalistic rebellion. The Climate Tax was just the spark that lit the fire.
