Willie Brown is truly the best. He earned his nickname of Slick Willie but now that he doesn't hold office he is a great commentator and though he was a partisan Democrat he tells it like it is. This is from his column today. Pretty damn funny.


Down for the count: The late vote counting in Georgia, Florida, California and many other places shows just how antiquated our election system is.

We either need to come up to date with a technological solution or go back to the old Chicago style: Close the polls at 8 o’clock, announce the results at 8:10 and then start counting.

Why would you give a shit about the cost of borrowing for your state? It's your tax dollars at work but it's not for me to tell you to care if you don't want to.

But it has a very real effect on the people of the state and the services, or lack thereof, that they receive.

ALL the Roads, Bridges and traffic near me are in EXCELLENT condition.
Police and Fire are Fully upgraded with the latest
Business is BOOMING and contributing to lowering my Taxes
Schools are the BEST in the State
I can walk lighted jog and bike trails in the middle of the night

I sleep like a Baby ...

We submitted a public records request to Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp requesting detailed information on who was purged from the voter rolls and why. The results were stunning: about 1.3 million Georgians were removed from the rolls between 2013 and 2017, representing perhaps 18 percent of the state’s eligible voting population.

We invited data scientists to analyze the records. They found that while a third of these voters — about 417,000 — were removed because they were deceased, ineligible felons, duplicative registrants, had moved out of state, or for other legitimate reasons, the vast majority — more than 850,000 — were removed simply because they didn’t vote in two general election cycles. (The analysis found younger voters were disproportionately impacted by the purge as well).
