Sweden had massive wildfires this year due to a severe drought, claimed by some to be the worst in 74 years. They also had extremely high temperatures in the mid 90s. So people didn't die but that was due almost entirely to the low population density in rural Sweden. The vast majority of Swedes live in the sprawling conurbations of Southern Sweden.
