Much of the U.S. coal infrastructure is in the Southeast.
Coal mining provided comfortable income to economically depressed areas.
There doesn't seem to be much interest among former coal miners in retraining.

Typical "false premise" by a lefty. What is the most important factor in producing energy provided by wind and or solar energy? The reliability of WIND or SOLAR sources. What does one do in an area were the overcast days outnumber the SUNNY DAYS or in areas where the winds does not provide enough energy to mechanically drive the wind turbines? While on the other hand FOSSIL FUELS are abundant and cheap and most importantly......TRANSPORTABLE.

What's wrong with using all the above? Why do FOSSIL FUELS need to be replaced by supposed GREEN SOURCES? INCOME REDISTRIBUTION/SOCIAL COMMUNISM......i.e., world politics and power. Green Energy is far removed from stated purpose....it could care less about the ECONOMICAL LOSES, THE JOB LOSES, NATIONAL SECURITY, and the planet....its all about POLITICAL POWER and personally directed WEALTH.


What do the 3rd world shit holes that are poor and cannot afford to go GREEN....do? They starve because the PROGRESSIVES choose to "feel good". There are documented indisputable cases of what PROGRESSIVE, "knee jerk" movements have wrought to the poor around the world. Examples like the progressive movement to save the lesser animals and insects from the effects of DDT...…… false studies suggested that DDT was harmful to human life.....examples like exposing lab rats and other small creatures to 500x the normal amount of DDT exposure....."MIGHT" cause cancer....yada, yada, yada...

The ultimate result? The horrible life taking diseases such as Malaria..etc., Today....these diseases are making a comeback and killing millions in poor nations...thanks to the progressive banning of DDT.


Another example of hurting the poor? Taking the world's bread basket and using it as fuel instead of using it to feed the poor around the world.

The snooty French whined bitterly about le Tower Eiffel, and what an eyesore it was.
It's one of the most universally recognized landmarks on Earth, revered by Parisians.

Not sure what the Dutch feel about their traditional windmills. But when I was in Holland I made it a point to go see them.

There are commercial wind turbines within sight of my home. I rather enjoy them, and have visited them close up (about a 12 mile drive).
