latest example of the crime and corruption that inspired the entire nation to hate the GOP:

Trump Campaign Paid Millions to Trump Businesses During Midterms

Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign raised and spent an unprecedented sum of money during the midterm elections. But much of that cash wasn’t used to help endangered Republicans in Congress—it was used to help Donald Trump.

Presidential campaigns don’t typically raise much—or any—money during midterm election cycles, leaving congressional candidates and national parties to do most of the financial work. During the 2010 cycle, Barack Obama’s campaign raised nothing—his 2010 campaign finance filings are filled with notations of returned donations, not newly collected ones. Obama went on to raise $738 million for his 2012 reelection, but that effort didn’t start until the late spring of 2011.

Trump, on the other hand, kicked off his 2020 fundraising efforts within hours of his inauguration last year, and his presidential campaign alone raised $60 million through the end of September, the latest month for which filings are available. Working with the Republican National Committee, Trump appears to have raised at least another $46 million.

Remember that viral town hall where a guy scorned his Congressman for trying to take away his wife's health insurance?

That Congressman was Tom MacArthur, architect of the Obamacare repeal.

    He just lost reelection.

Low energy Jeb or establishment Rubio etc. would have lost to Hillary. Trump is a very good campaigner
and he had a really good message that tapped right into American populism ( caused by scorn of the Swamp )..

I don't know who succeeds Trump for the Republicans; I don't care as long as populism is their way..
    I have my doubts

For heaven's sake! Populists are not people of conviction- they wet their finger- hold it up in the air- and go in the direction the wing blows- be it good- or be it BAD!

In Donald Trump's case, it was all just a cover anyway to get elected and then use his position for personal gain.

You Republicans need to learn when to dump Trump and move on to legitimacy and reality.

He took you people for a ride!

Does everyone understand that if Donald Trump "AND" Mike Pence are "both" found guilty of lying or covering anything up- Nancy Pelosi would then become the president by default?

That's about where we are at folks! Whether you like it or not!

Trump does not need personal gain.
Contrary to this obsession with emoluments by da resistance ; he's not in it for the money.
He could get a lot richer with him and his kids running his holdings. so drop that noise please.

Populism is an expression of the will of the people. The people are sick of political incompetence .
we have no confidence in the established duopoly. a 3rd party is not viable. DC fails us.

Trump promised to bring back jobs and grow the economy, control illegal immigration
and stay out of foreign wars; all pressing and timely issues.

He stepped into that platform provided/wanted by the people with his MAGA motto.

See there! That's where you are wrong.

Donald Trump does need the money- without his billion dollar loans, he would be unable to float his billionaire status and hold onto his properties that are all mortgaged with the exception of his Trump Tower. That is the only asset that he actually owns outright. Every thing else in his empire requires loans to keep afloat. Every one of his Golf Resorts including Mara Lago is operating in the red right now and sinking fast. Donald Trump is a man with Money Problems and they are catching up to him very fast.

And while Donald Trump cannot even secure a loan from an American lender due to his credit rating being worse than yours, and because of his multiple billion dollar losses filing Bankruptsys leaving many investors bankrupt as well, he requires loans from foreign sources. And some of those foreign sources are under Sanctions and are unable to either give Donald Trump Loans- or for him to even pay back the loans that he owes them now.

This goes back to Russia and the Ukraine and why he wants to lift those sanctions- for his personal benefit. And that is one of the reasons why Russia wants him to be the president- so he can lift the sanctions- and just pay back the loans he owes them to the tune of billions of dollars.

You better know who you are dealing with in Donald Trump! LOL!

he could liquidate and still be rich. The point is he didn't run for the money.
I'm surprised you didn't say he ran for the glory though; I'm sure he did like all politicians.

Trump never said he wanted to unilaterally lift Uk sanctions.
Flynn's preliminary discussions were just that - sounding out a deal with Putin.

He wanted to get closer to Russia for anti-terrorism as well as splitting Russia away from China.
He was looking for deals on Donbass in my opinion
    ~~

all this is interesting but unless you get the draw of populism -
absolute desperation that our duopoly fails us and is incapable of any reform -you won't get Trump's support base..
That's why we stay with him. Nobody else is a committed nationalist. America first.

Good Luck Anatta! But, I think Donald Trump's empire is blowing up in Donald Trump's face and it's all catching up to him.

First of all, Because Donald Trump owes those Russian lenders all that money that he legally can't pay back while they are under sanction, Donald Trump has been paying them back in the form of turning over properties to them. And that is what you call laundering money. And he got caught. And he already knows it. So he will be facing a laundry list of felonies related to that. So, he's toast.

It's just a matter of time before the Special Prosecution turns all of this over to congress, and Mitch McConnell won't have any choice but to impeach him.

It's sad, but that's what happens when you live the life of Donald Trump. He couldn't get out of his own way!

Ahh yes. More advice from a leftist. Your concern for us is duly noted. Always fun to see leftists think they know what is best for the GOP.

Of course it is in keeping with your penchant of thinking you know what is best for everyone. So.........

A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
