Junior is very likely Mullet’s best shot at Trump.

If he lied about Meeting Gate to investigators Mullet will probably charge him. The problem is, as you alluded to, Junior would be charged with a process crime—over a non-crime. It would be like if they got you for lying about watering your lawn on Wednesday afternoon. Even though when you water your lawn isn’t a crime—they can still get you for lying about it. That’s the way they got Flynn—they got Flynn in what he thought was a standard de-briefing interview. That’s why some of us are pissed about it. What he was being interviewed about wasn’t a crime. Our justice system is a tad jacked-up when that’s allowed to go on, but that’s another debate.

Reasonable people and/or people who have all the facts won’t be impressed if Mullet goes that route with Junior.

Mueller, clearly, for the last month intends to release his report, possibly before the holidays.

He used a lot of investigative capital to get the indicted to 'cooperate' with him.

Personally, he would not do that without having something on Trump.

Nowhere in this thread or anywhere else that I know of, has it been asserted that Mueller is going to time his release directly prior to a holiday weekend, presumably (in your mind) on a Friday, which is the PR tactic you think you've got this tight handle on.

All that was said, is that the report would be released before the holidays. That could mean any day between now and Christmas, any day of the week.

Furthermore... if you or anyone else thinks that the impact of this particular news story would be blunted or diminished simply because it was released immediately prior to a holiday weekend, you are truly naive and obviously think you understand things that you really have no clue about.

The release of the Mueller report is going to be seismic in the attention it's going to attract, regardless of which day it hits the news.

He could release it on Christmas day and the media would still be all over it.
