IMO the two top Dem priorities since retaking the House:

1. mandate election reform, definitely including PAPER BALLOTS than can be easily verified without hackable machines installed by GOP Secretary of State officials

2. un-gerrymander districts the GOP has turned into automatic seats across the country


....I don't think they should spend much capital initiating impeachment proceedings unless the GOP torpedoes Mueller's collusion charges

National elections must be run with the same rules country wide. Every state should use the exact same systems, the same polling hours, the same election rules, etc. To allow each state to set its on guidelines will continue to result in the mess we have now.

The governor had 8 years to make any changes he wanted to, but he didn't. I also read where a particular Florida county requested new voting machines, to replace the old ones they were using. The state of Florida said NO.

I am pretty sure the GOP version of vote counting is that we should stop counting on election night the minute the Republican candidate pulls ahead, and fuck all the provisional ballots, absentee ballots, mail in ballots, and overseas ballots.

California voted to take away the power from the legislature to draw congressional districts, which is exactly what needs to happen nationwide.

Voting needs to be made as easy and as universal as possible.

And legalized bribery, aka unlimited campaign spending by corporations and other interest groups needs to end, asap.

I personally think the fairness doctrine should be re-instated, but that is not as important as the preceding priorities.

You would be surprised at how far that all collectively would go to restoring a semblance of a healthy democracy.
