The Kremlin might be against it,
but those are all healthy and necessary steps for a functioning representative democracy.

Good luck getting any of that leftist loonery through the senate, let alone signed by the President, lol.

We already have public financing of presidential nominations and elections. None of these bills can get through the Senate or president.

    That's the point.

To get in on public record who is in favor of gerrymandering and unlimited corporate money in politics

And who is against gerrymandering and unlimited corporate money in politics

the Dems already know that, duh

submitting the House bills to the Senate will force the GOP's hand, and the bills will keep coming until 2020 at least, horrible chess move for the GOP but they'll make it anyway

Republicans are trapped in Trump's clown show.

They can't make good sound decisions even if they wanted to because they know sound decisions will piss off Trump.

There are few things more cowardly than a republican politician today.

I don't know what Congress can do about gerrymandering since the Constitution grants that function to the states. The current presidential financing of elections did not (and cannot) eliminate corporate money---I don't know how a different version would do so.

Republicans voted to repeal Obamacare many times knowing it would not pass the Senate or president. Do you think that served a useful function for them?

I, for one, consider the automatic voter registration issue to be a slam dunk because who wouldn't want that and why wouldn't they?

We should make voting as easy a process as possible...not harder.

They are trapped in a fairy tale about them being more special and more entitled than everyone else.

The wave they fear most isn't blue, it's brown.

I believe that at least 1 of the things the OP suggested would be found unconstitutional on its face.
