Default Our Responsibility to Defeat Republican Fascism

One somewhat better recent election cycle was nothing more than a step forward, but every step forward is more difficult than a stumble backward.

Until our republic is secured, and even afterward, Americans of good will must consider every day of their lives to be part of an election cycle. We must be relentless, and we must, right now, already be thinking about 2020.

We should have known we had a problem under W, but it took the despicable cretin Trump to make it clear enough for some of us. Many people who call themselves--who consider themselves--Americans are also stone cold fascists.

Only a tiny number of them actual benefit from oligarch control. The vast majority of them cannot offer a cogent explanation as to why they seek to construct the Fascist States of America. Instead, they just know that they hate people who look differently than they do and think with more intellectual firepower than they have.. They lack the intellectual and moral capacity to NOT be exploited.

Our survival as a civilized and free nation is dependent on our capacity to hate them back with even more ferocity. And greater efficiency. Nobody who speaks of working with them and seeking common ground is to be trusted. The people who demand a just and civilized America don't want to work with fascists--they want and need to render them politically impotent.

We can't let up. The Democratic controlled House must be of one mind--to render Trump powerless and to expose his crimes. It will be difficult. Trump has already corrupted the judicial system which is now solidly under fascist control. We must be imaginative enough to overcome major obstacles, but we must also be resolutely driven enough to succeed.

In the overall scan of human endeavor, our generation's task is to defeat neo-fascism, fascism as represented by the Republican Party, so that our successors can get on with the work of advancing democracy, health, and prosperity

    For right this moment...

...anyone disposed to vote for ANY Republican...

...is essentially disposed to vote for the destruction of the Republic we have in our temporary custody right now.

The Republican Party has become the Trump Party...and the Trump Party is one of the most disgusting political parties ever to stink up planet Earth.

Jack: I think you have erroneously fallen for the Russia/China/guno tactic of splitting America into the Red Team/Blue Team mentality of HATING opposing views. DEMONIZING the 'Others', isn't a correct or beneficial position to take. You'll NEVER solve ANY problem with THAT attitude.

Jack, you underestimate the sincerity of both sides.
    There are NO common goals.

    We are a polarized society,
the energy is at the poles,
the center is a Pollyanna myth,
and the choice is very clear
to all who are seeing clearly.

It's Democratic Socialism vs. Republican Fascism,
and there's no common ground. Somebody has to win completely.

Failing to make a clear choice is to waste everybody's time and to make oneself irrelevant.

We are NOT going to get along.
Neither of the two sides can live with the other's laws or the other's tax codes.

This is something that one needs to recognize immediately unless one is a bystander willing to take either outcome.

One of the sides has to be closer to what you want, and there are no other choices.
If you want to have any say in the result, it's time to take sides.

If you don't want Red Team vs. Blue Team, you're completely out of luck.
    That's what you've got.
If you're not an ideologue, one way or the other,
then I'm sorry to say that you're not principled.
To the principled, the choice is pretty easy to make.

One foot in front of another until the Cult of Trump can be defeated conclusively at the polls.

Do you think Red Team will accept 'Medicare for All'? Once they realize they now have a shot at adequate Health Care, do you think they will turn it down?

Not as hard as they could have been, but now we have two full years to destroy Republican fascism.
