A woman who teaches at Jefferson Middle School was accused of being drunk while teaching students.

A criminal complaint says a school administraor called police for an employee that appeared to be drunk.

An officer met with 38-year-old Erin Ellerbach, who had slurred speech, red and watery eyes, and smelled of alcohol. A preliminary breathalyzer test showed Ellerbach had a BAC of .224. When school officials searched her office, they found an open 16 oz. can of Mike's Harder Strawberry Lemonade and two more unopened Mike's Harder beverages.

Ellerbach was charged with public intoxication.

Police have arrested a teacher accused of soliciting sexual conduct with a minor, district officials said.

Edmond Public Schools officials received a tip about possible misconduct by teacher Charles David Heaverin with a juvenile, according to a news release.

Heaverin was arrested Monday morning after district officials and police investigated the claims over the weekend. The 53-year-old man was arrested on complaints of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.

"Edmond Public Schools was shocked and saddened to learn of the arrest earlier today of Santa Fe High School social studies teacher Mr. Dave Heaverin on pending charges of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology," Edmond Public Schools officials said in a news release. "Edmond Public Schools takes this matter very seriously and is fully cooperating with law enforcement in this investigation.

"An Edmond Public Schools employee since August, 2013, Mr. Heaverin has been placed on administrative leave. Because this is a personnel matter and a criminal investigation, the district will not comment further."

A new search warrant sheds new light on a romantic relationship between a teacher and a student.

According to Sheriff's Office investigators, Jason Osborne created a profile on the app "Remind" back in September using two email addresses, including one issued by the County School District.

From there, the Ferrell Middle School teacher started chatting with the 14-year-old girl.

"I wanted to pull you in the lab and go in that little room we put our stuff in," the girl reportedly texted to the teacher.

"Just get through tomorrow and I WILL see you Saturday," the teacher allegedly responded.

Osborne met up with the student no less than two times in the girl's neighborhood, the search warrant said.

They laid down next to each other, arms around each other and "cuddled".

The teacher also asked the victim to find a way to come with him to a concert in March of 2019.

Osborne has since bonded out of jail.

A teacher was arrested after professing her love for a 13-year-old boy — whom she tried to kiss a year earlier, police said.

Andrea Jimenez, 47, surrendered to authorities on charges of lewd and lascivious assault on a child, reported CNN. She was released after posting $17,500 bond.

According to an arrest affidavit, Jimenez would regularly “lure” the child to her class after school, and on the last day of class in May 2018, she even tried to kiss the student, then age 12. She downloaded several social media apps over the summer to write the boy during the break, cops said.

“I will go to hell for u. Die for u stop eating to feed u. My love for u is so real and huge !!! I don’t mind facing the devil himself for u,” one message read, according to reports.

Other messages allegedly asked the boy if he would engage in lewd acts with her. Jimenez — who police say warned the child not to talk to girls his own age — also bought gifts for the boy including electronics, clothing, toys and books.

The boy’s mother found the disturbing social media messages and reported Jimenez to the school, according to CNN. Police began investigating Jimenez last Wednesday.

A teacher told police he stole a 9-year-old student’s violin because he needed money to pay for a $700 ticket.

Citing an incident report, news outlets report that video showed 21-year-old Kalif Jones stealing the instrument from the cafeteria. It also showed the Brockett Elementary School teacher walking through the school with the violin case in hand before leaving with it.

The criminal investigation began after the student came home without his instrument. Police arrested the Dekalb County teacher after he said he stole the violin because he had recently received a $700 ticket and needed money for it.
