Lies and deceit? That sounds like a gross over exaggeration. The only thing I recall was the deal about keeping your doctor, which for most Americans was true. Some companies changed providers to get a better deal, but that was their choice. They could have stayed with what they had, allowing their workers to keep their doctor. Other than that, President Obama was very truthful.

What was insincere was the Republican charade of pretending to debate on health care, but really they were not prepared to compromise on anything, determined to oppose whatever Democrats proposed, and offering no workable ideas of their own to expand health care availability.

Contrast that with the truth, and evidence that trump is incompetent, and a liar fueling this year's midterm success for sanity.
One President was basically honest, and the other is a propaganda generator. That's the stark contrast.

I wasn't very clear, and you misread my post. The lies and deceit about 'death panels' 'Socialism', etc. were what inspired the Teabaggers to disrupt town hall meetings, etc. It caused a massive propaganda campaign that created the '10 midterm debacle for Obama.

    And 'death panels', etc.

    Death panels?

President Obama never said there should be death panels. It was an idea to help reduce the cost of health care. It was an idea to help families facing end-of-life decisions. Many families to not plan very well for end-of-life decisions, costing them and the system great amount, wasting money. If insurance covers families going in and being able to discuss their options with experts, it can save them and others who pay into the system a lot of money. It was highly disingenuous of Republicans to mock this caring idea. The propaganda surrounding this was cheap and hurtful, and not accurate at all. Families which plan for this fare better than families which have no plan. This was a way to help families through a difficult time. No part of this was about euthanasia, as Republicans eluded. That was the lowest of political taste, brought to us by highly partisan and shameful conservatives.

I know it was 10 years ago, so you must have forgotten the Republican charade.

Death panels was a Republican construct aimed at addressing their lie that healthcare would be rationed (by death panels) under Obama's plan.

    LOL!

Looks more like 35-40 seats he lost. And he's only netted out 1 Senate seat (FL is recounting), after losing Arizona and Nevada.

And the popular vote margin in 2018 was 6.3% vs. 6.5% in 2010.

The only reason the seat loss wasn't as great was because of gerrymandering.

You know this, of course, but are acting in bad faith because you need personal comfort that the election wasn't as bad as it actually was for you and your beliefs.
