You have to normalize white racism by pretending they voted for Obama because that's how you reconcile your own shitty racism.

And no, the math doesn't work. Durbin is just repeating a myth without due diligence.

Show me using math how 7-9 million Obama voters voted for Trump, while Clinton found 7-9 million votes to make up for them and still end up with the same # of votes Obama had in 2012? Go ahead, I dare you.

Obama voters switching to Trump does not "normalize" white racism--that just comes from your obsession with race. A white racist is no more or less normal whether they vote for Obama or Trump. They are the same people as they were before.

I think you don't want to admit white racists voted for Obama--that is the real issue.

I did explain the math in the studies I listed--lI guess you can't handle social science research. They don't have any partisan implications so you don't have to worry about facts confusing your preconceived conclusions (no doubt dealing with race).

In order for that to be true, turnout would have had to be 3-5 times what it was in 2016.

The math is really simple:

Clinton got just 60,000 fewer votes than Obama did in 2016
Trump got about 2 million more votes than Romney did in 2016
Turnout was up just 2 million for 2016 vs. 2012

The math isn't there.

Romney: 60,933,504
Turnout: 54.9%

2016
Clinton: 65,853,514
Trump: 62, 984,828
Turnout: 55.7% (+2 million vs. 2012)

So for your argument to make sense, you'd have to say from where Clinton got the 9 million votes of Obama's she supposedly lost despite turnout only increasing by 2 million.

You can't. The math ain't there. This argument of yours is just you trying to make yourself feel better for supporting racists and voting for racists because you share their values. So you have to pretend these people aren't racist, that way you gain comfort. So it's really an argument meant to pad your own pathetic ego.

What a waste.

Let's look a few easy possibilities to your math problem:

1. Hillary won 4% of Romney supporters=2.4 million
2. 15% of voters in 2016 were first time voters (20.5 million). Over 60% of these (mostly younger voters) voted for Hillary=12.3 million

That is 14.7 million voters. That easily covers the 9 million she lost to Trump.

And we did that without even bringing race into math problems.
