And abortion, and guns, and being against Nationalized healthcare. Same old song from the Republicans as 2000 and 2004 so far.

I guess that is what being a true conservative is all about, singing the same old song forever.

Well, I have to admit, I like tax rebates and credits when they affect me.

it reminds of the the mother protesting in front of my college who was mad because her kids bus tranpertaion to school was cut off. I had one question for her at the time. Did you vote for proposition 13(it was a big tax cut bit that passed in Cali years ago) she said "yes" proudly. I just laughed at her and told her she got what she deserved then.

I only cling to my tax cuts because I'm so bitter.
There is much to be said in favour of modern journalism. By giving us the opinions of the uneducated, it keeps us in touch with the ignorance of the community.

You guys should all read "Voices from the House Divided." Arguments over moral issues never change. Those with the principled stand have their motives questioned and are accused of trying to deny people their individual rights, etc. etc. etc. It made me mad, trying to write a paper about it and getting pissed off at half the people I quoted...

Gee, I guess liberals are always coming up with something new. "reproduction rights" "Separation of church and state" "guns are too dangerous in the hands of common citizens" "The only way to assure adequate health care is to have government provide it."

Yup. All new to me. (If I'd been living in a cave for the past 50 years.....)

my healthcare is not expensive. like 3000 a year for 3 people including vision and co-pays. Under a national play i would likely pay 6-8K a year.

why would i vote for that?
Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?

OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.

I always deserve a tax break.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

You would likely pay about 1000 a year. Who would vote against that?

People who think a group of people who can't even decide where a fence goes shouldn't be messing around at all in something as important as their personal health.
