I hate when you guys don't stick to the facts. She didn't smear herself. She talked about the family history as told to her by her parents. Her parents didn't make up a phony story decades before Elizabeth entered politics as you all seem to think.
RWNJs did this very same smear job on Hillary. Hillary's mom told her she was named after the explorer and Hillary repeated that story. A common thread in these incidents is that smart, educated women get trashed over trivia.
