Since when are church cookbook recipes proprietary information?

    I don't eat Twinkies.
Why would she contribute recipes that are not her own? Church and school cookbooks aren't meant to be cut and paste from another book.... ...and she's not "cherokee"...
(you've never had a Twinkie from scratch, have you?

Exactly.. and she never said she was "Cherokee" .. She said she had a native American ancestor. Many Americans do.

And it's not a church cookbook, either. It was attributed to the "Five Civilized Tribes" and was offered as "proof" that Fauxcahontas is "Cherokee" by her campaign in 2012.

she has "Cherokee" next to her name-did you miss that?.... The recipes in our cookbooks were not cut and paste, btw... for the classroom edition, the kids interviewed each person who submitted one... '

I don't even know what you mean by the above. In my experience very few people actually create recipes from scratch.

The one and only time I ever gave a recipe to a cookbook was a recipe originally attributed to a Pittsburgh Steeler. So sue me.

And if you actually produced a cookbook for a school you are well aware that it's no different from a church cookbook, a volunteer fire company cookbook, or any organization's cookbook which they put together to raise funds.

And was each submitted recipe created by the person? I doubt it.

Many people have favorite family recipes that are versions of other recipes-I'm sure my grandmother's macaroni salad wasn't her original creation... but you know what I mean... you just like to fuss...lol I'm ok with that....
If you contributed a recipe from a Steeler, you should have mentioned that, you know....
