Default Saudis offer pathetic explanation of Khashoggi death

    Wow rubes fox "news"

Saudi Arabia claims that Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and Washington Post columnist who had been living in the U.S., was accidentally strangled Oct. 2 in a fight with 15 Saudis employed by the nation’s security services and military inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

Yes. We all expected some bogus 'storyline' and a 'Fall Guy'.

The President or Congress needs to do 'Something' to punish the Saudis and/or Mohammad bin Salman over this. We can't just close our eyes.

Trump is a whining little bitch who blows crooked oligarchs and tin horn dictators.

Never expect anything appropriate from him.

If I have trouble falling asleep tonight, I'll imagine a bunch of guys with bone saws cutting him up alive
while he squeals like a pig.
That image should calm me down and relax me.

Until they have the body there is no ‘official story’.

    Why rush to judgement?

Remember when liberals were screaming with rage because Erdogan's guards went after a protester?

They demanded that Trump "do something" then, too.

Now they believe everything he says.

Who the fuck cares about those superstitious beliefs? It makes no difference whether they buried the fat fuck within 24 hours or not, and you know it.

I almost laughed at "accidentally strangled."

I seriously doubt anyone on this board even heard of Khashoggi three weeks ago, but I am amazed how many posters are quick to judge him, quick to be arm chair expert about him, quick to practice confirmation bias in seeking out information that conforms to a pre-conceived notion based on partisan motives.

Unlike all the Khashoggi arm chair experts, I will be the first to say I never heard of this guy a month ago, and I can hardly leap to a conclusion about what kind of person he was or what his motives were based on what other people are claiming on the interwebs.

The issue for me is that journalists should not be murdered. In Myanmar, in Russia, in Iraq, or in a Saudi consulate. Period, end of story.
A free press is really one of the only barricades, one of the last defences, against authoritarianism and despotism. There is a reason Amnesty International and other human rights groups highlight and spend great effort to highlight violence against journalists and attacks on the press. But I would not expect conservatives to even begin to understand the moral dimensions of defending journalists, a free press, or even basin human rights. It is mostly a foreign concept to conservatives, and I suspect that is why you will find very few rightwingers working for human rights organizations - tending to avoid them in the same way a vampire avoids sunlight.

Is that so. Let's saw him up and bathe in the admiration fascist war-criminals.
