Default Why We Need Gun Restrictions

The right wing will never admit it since common sense is not their forte, however, this is a good example of why we do need more restrictions. And please, for the useful idiot toadies, don't try to make this into gun confiscation like you NRA masters have told you:

There are already 20,000 gun laws. What further restrictions do you suggest?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

If you don't want to end up dead then don't steal stuff and you won't get shot.

It's hard to find gun legislation that works equally well in Butte and Manhattan.

I've never been a big 10th Amendment / States Rights guy as few progressive liberals are.

Certain things like civil liberties must be enforced by strong central national authority.

But universal firearms legislation might be culturally a step too far.

Guns are inanimate objects that many Americans like to have,

some for sane and some for insane reasons.

At a time of horses and swords, we were the first major nation founded with guns.

Discussion on the subject is appropriate if realistic expectations are applied.

Mandatory background check for one. Making "bump stocks" illegal for another instead of allowing the NRA to sell them. Most of those 20,000 laws are only for specific areas, and do not apply to all areas. Then you have areas like Florida with its phony ass "stand your ground" laws. In this case the prosecuting attorney says the law does not apply:

The NRA doesn't sell "bump stocks," or any other firearm related merchandise. You don't think 20,000 laws cover all areas? What areas don't they cover, which leads back to my original question. What further restrictions do you suggest?

Get a copy of their American Rifleman, and see how many of those items they advertise for.

Love the consistent ignorance of the right wing, and how proudly they display it. Laws that are passed here in Oregon do not apply to Washington, or laws passed in California do not apply to Nevada. Yet they are counted in the 20,000 figure. Is that too hard for you to understand?

which leads back to my original question. What further restrictions do you suggest?
Gave you two examples. How many do you want?

Common sense is a fast disappearing talent especially when dealing with those who say they have it, and lack the knowledge to understand they don't.

I get the American Rifleman every month. The magazine has advertisements, the NRA doesn't sell the products advertised. There is a difference, apparently you cannot understand that.
The examples you gave are already on the books. Try again.

Advertisements are a method of selling an item, and obvioiusly the NRA profits from the sale of firearms. Too hard for you to comprehend?

The examples you gave are already on the books. Try again.
Bull shit. Universal background checks are not on the books, and "bump stocks" are sold legally. Do some research for a change. You just might learn how to think for yourself.

And so much more intelligent then poodles like you.

As an example, six states California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon and Rhode Island, require universal background checks on all firearm sales at gun shows, including sales by unlicensed dealers. Why not show where "bump stocks" are illegal? OK ass hat?
