There are many women who'd make excellent presidential candidates in 2020.

Every one of them is a Democrat, however.

There's a lack of good ethnic cuisine in the south.

Maybe Haley could open a nice Indian restaurant in Florence.

I don't think Haley could win primaries in the southern states after she picked the wrong side on the flag issue.

    Why would anyone be 'afraid?'

If you believe that after the horrors of Trump that Americans are going to rush out and elect another republican as president .. that's on you .. but that ain't scary.

The problem is Republican voters have not, do not, and will not for the foreseeable future make electing women and minorities a priority. Don't take my word for it. Look at the U.S. Congress, in which the GOP delegation is about 90 percent men, and about 95 percent white, give or take.

That right there tells you everything you need to know about the priorities of Republican voters.
This is a thread about a women of color running for the Presidency as a Republican and you're complaining about a lack of women of color?

Let's look at our state of California. Did you vote for Jerry Brown or Meg Whitman?

Look at our current Governor's race. You want more women and minorities and Democrats nominate privileged white guy Gavin Newsom?

I don't recall such assertion from him directly.

But I'm fully aware he's been called that by others, though I can't quote them at the moment.

    Nikki Haley

I don't doubt Ambassador Haley's political ambition. She may opt to run as soon as 2020.

    Let's wish her well.
Bill Clinton didn't say that himself, Toni Morrison called him that in an article she wrote for the New Yorker ..

... and she's been soundly criticized for it since.

    Condi Rice isn't running.

So what women of color do republicans have?

Mia Love, the first black Republican woman EVER to be elected to Congress .. who make not survive her coming election?

Their bench is very very small.
