As usual Trump has good instincst on what to do/ not do, just like his de-regulations and tax cuts for the economy.

Halley shows no such instincts...other then that she is knowlegable, but that is a BIG IF
Yeah, Bolton came immediately to mind as I was responding

Bill called himself the first black president when he wasn't black.....I supposed Hilliary can call herself the first woman president without being president....

"Bill called himself the first black president when he wasn't black..." PP #65
You're welcome to quote him making that assertion.
I don't recall such assertion from him directly.

But I'm fully aware he's been called that by others, though I can't quote them at the moment.

    Nikki Haley

I don't doubt Ambassador Haley's political ambition. She may opt to run as soon as 2020.

    Let's wish her well.
"It should be obvious to anyone why conservatives and libertarians should be against Trump. He has no grounding in belief. No core philosophy. No morals. No loyalty. No curiosity. No empathy and no understanding. He demands personal loyalty and not loyalty to the nation. His only core belief is in his own superiority to everyone else. His only want is exercise more and more personal power." smb / purveyor of fact 18/03/18

Nordberg just proved your point with his groan. He doesn't think it possible that anyone on the right doesn't support Trump probably because he couldn't imagine himself ever not supporting a Democrat.

Would be interesting to hear Rana, Owl and Christiefan's opinion. Would you rather see a Democratic male as President or a Republican woman such as Condi Rice or Nikki Haley?

The premise of course being how important is it to have a woman President. Is it important enough that you would vote for/support one who has different political beliefs than you.

Why? We championed their ability to vote.

"'In our toxic political environment, I've heard some people in both parties describe their opponents as enemies or evil. In America, our political opponents are not evil. In South Sudan, where rape is routinely used as a weapon of war - that is evil. In Syria, where the dictator uses chemical weapons to murder innocent children - that is evil. In North Korea, where American student Otto Warmbier was tortured to death - that was evil.

"'In the last two years, I've seen true evil. We have some serious political differences here at home. But our opponents are not evil. They're just our opponents.'"

That's leadership and it has been sorely missing.
I wish more women would be able to run competitively in Republican primaries. The benefit to the country would be enormous, because (Sarah Palin not withstanding) on balance and on average, Republican women tend to be nominally more moderate that the mouth-breathing male contingent of the party.

The problem is Republican voters have not, do not, and will not for the foreseeable future make electing women and minorities a priority. Don't take my word for it. Look at the U.S. Congress, in which the GOP delegation is about 90 percent men, and about 95 percent white, give or take.

That right there tells you everything you need to know about the priorities of Republican voters.

After Murkowski betrayed us and we had to beg Collins to stay loyal to the party I've had enough of women politicians.

^A fairly typical Republican male response, I would venture.
