Karma is a bitch and for half of the 50 years they imposed the voting rights act on others and not themselves they unfairly benefited from heavy-handed federal oversight. Now that the chains are off, they don't get a say unless they actually win elections. Since they cannot win in the south and don't have federal boots to keep on people's throats, internet boohoo's is all they have going for them.
Now you see why the Voting Rights Act was enacted in the first place. As soon as those sections were overturned, the very jurisdictions that were under their purview began enacting more restrictive and exclusive laws.

Pull your head out of your ass and observe what’s really going on.

Wait. I’ve seen your posts. Yes, you can.

Amazing the rationalization you RW fucktards go through to justify this bullshit. Conservatives have tried various iterations of these same tactics since the Civil War. This is just the latest tactic.
You're an asshole. Do you live in PA.? I stated a fact, pure and simple. If you're too stupid to comprehend that fact, shut up and go back to playing in your sandbox, little one.

Sure don't live in PA. Been there several times. Mostly a shithole of a place.

Yeah, right. I'm an asshole for pointing out the obvious. Republican efforts across the country to suppress the votes of people who lean towards the Democratic Party are blatantly obvious. But to morons like you, with your collective heads up your asses, buy the bullshit they feed you. Amazing those efforts resurfaced IMMEDIATELY after the sections of the Voting Rights Act were repealed, huh?

    Oblivious moron.

As the end of Barack Obama’s presidency grew closer, election officials began preparing for the next election. Instead of strengthening the security of voting machines and making voting more accessible to citizens, states did the exact opposite. But they didn’t just make it harder to vote. For hundreds of thousands of registered, eligible voters across the nation, they made it impossible.

Voter Purges (pdf), a new report by the Brennan Center, highlights the systematic purging of voters from rolls by state and local officials around the country. These are not random, isolated cases. It is a methodical effort that disproportionately affects minority voters. Even worse, no one seems to care.

    The Root!

Yep. True "Head Up Ass Syndrome"

Why don't you try to educate yourself, shitstain, instead of tossing out your parroted RW horseshit. Look up Section 4 and 5 of the Voting Rights Act. Look up when they were repealed. Tehn look up when the affected states started enacting more restrictive voting requirements

The motherfucker in Georgia, in charge of the election AND running for governor, purging all those registrations, 70% of which were black voters? PLEASE! Even you can't be that stupid.

The county clerk, having the bus full of black voters removed? PLEASE! Even you can't be that stupid.

The voters on the reservation, who really don't have true street addresses, not being allowed to register because they use a PO box on the reservation? PLEASE! Even you can't be that stupid.

And those have just happened in the last couple of weeks.

    Blind Republican lemming.

I told you asshole, in PA. they put you on the inactive list if you don't vote for a specific (which I'm not sure of) amount of time. All you need is an ID to return to the active list. That is a fact.

107,000 purged from Georgia voter rolls for not voting in past elections: report

Georgia officials removed an estimated 107,000 people from voter rolls because they decided not to vote in prior elections, according to a new report.

An APM Reports analysis (1) found the voters were removed under the state's "use it or lose it" law, which starts a process for removing people from voter rolls if they fail to vote, respond to a notice or make contact with election officials over a three-year period.

After that three-year span, those who don't vote or make contact with authorities in two elections can be purged from the voter rolls under the Georgia law.

Such laws, generally enacted by GOP governments, have been growing more common, with at least nine states now having them, according to APM Reports.

.....the GOP should be outlawed as a political party
It's the only way they can win .. even in Georgia.
AMERICAN HISTORY ITSELF IS A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF AFRICAN PEOPLE. WE, ALONG WITH THE COURGE AND SACRIFICES OF CONSCIOUS WHITE AMERICANS, LIKE VIOLA LIUZZO, EVERETT DIRKSEN, AND MANY OTHERS, HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TOGETHER FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND FOR OUR SURVIVAL.

In America, rights are are not determined by what is just, fair, equitable, honest, nor by what Jesus would do. Rights are determined ONLY by what you can DEMAND.

The Voting Rights Act was selective law making designed to punish the South. Places like New York and Chicago are far more racially segregated with poor people and blacks disenfranchised in every aspect of life. That it forced states to be under the jurisdiction of the Federal DC district court in perpetuity to ensure that they could never escaped the VRA begged the thing be gutted.

My head isn't in my ass. Most minority-majority cities are in the south. There is a huge black belt in the red states that will continue to be red for so long as the DNC handjobs dollars from Soros' dick with their far left wing purity tests for candidates instead of actually allowing diversity of thought among their ranks. Purging the moderates and Blue Dogs from the DNC has come at a huge political cost to the party. As long as they keep their garden walled, it will get smaller and smaller. In the mean time, the ranks of independents grows larger and larger. The DNC in general and the DCCC specifically are woefully out of touch with Main Street America, particularly in places that still have a Main Street of local importance.

What Georgia did was obviously both immoral and illegal on the highest possible levels.

What we should concentrate on however, is that these people didn't vote in the previous elections.

Many of the state legislators responsible for this flagrant denial of civil rights were probably on the ballot in that last election.

Don't ever criticize Democrats for "vote shaming" when not voting carries so much cause for your troubles.

Yep. And you don't have a clue as to what that time frame is, do you?

The point being, moron, is that there are a myriad of efforts and tactics to minimize the number of voters who would normally vote Democratic. That you are oblivious of those efforts demonstrates your willful ignorance. Not to worry. That same ignorance is common among righties.

"Punish the South"? You've got to be fucking kidding!

The South has tried to suppress the black vote since the end of the Civil War. Who are you trying to bullshit?

The purpose of the Voting Rights Act was an attempt to end those shenanigans. And, as soon as those sections were repealed, the shenanigans started again immediately.

Lousy attempt at trying to divert to the DNC. This isn't about the DNC. It's about Republicans attempting to minimize Democratic voters. Pure and simple.
