I appreciate the effort to quantify the issue.
But the fact is, despite apparently sincere effort toward accuracy, we do not know to the man even the legal population of the United States of America.
The population of illegal immigrants in the U.S. is an unknown quantity.
Our estimates may be fairly accurate. But how would we ever know for sure, one way or another?
