I understand that, but it means American tax money is paying for the wall--not Mexico. Actually, it means the U. S. has to borrow less to pay for the wall since any additional spending must be borrowed.

Don't confuse them with basic economics, they can't handle the truth!

It doesn't matter where they're made. Just slap a new tax on tacos and the Mexicans in the US who buy them will being paying for the border wall through that tax.

The money we will make from the new trade deal will pay for it. That money will come from Mexico. So Mexico will pay for it. This isn't rocket science. It's basic economics. And need I remind you, America is now an economic giant, thanks to Trump.

No, it won't grugore, because there will be now wall. America has been an economic giant since 1918. There is no need for a wall.

What do you mean by "tax money transfers?"
Tax wire transfers from the US to Mexico ..... Average money wired to Mexico is $300 14 times a year

That money usually goes to the families of Mexicans working in the U. S. If you prohibited those transfers the money would not go to the wall.

Mexicans earned that money in the U. S. and would be taxed by the U. S. government. That makes it U. S. tax dollars, not Mexico, paying for the wall.

I think we would see some new methods developed to send that money back to Mexico including vehicles legally crossing the border.

That money made in the US is being sent to Mexico .... Taxing it means Mexico doesn't get as much .

And that money has already been taxed by the US ....

    Duh !

No way the Mexicans would send money thru the postal system in Mexico .... It's totally corrupt .

Mexican families do not get as much--very little of that would go to the Mexican government. I agree about the Mexican postal system, but workers make trips home regularly and could take it with them. They would have to tax the payments at 10% to get enough for the wall. The Mexican government getting less money does not mean Mexico is paying for the wall--it is still being paid for by U. S. taxes.

Mexicans DO NOT make " trips home regularly " ..... Taxing Mexican workers pay by a tax on wire transfers to Mexico doesn't cost the US money ... It costs Mexico money .

    Hello !
It costs Mexico money but that money does not pay for the wall. U. S. taxes pay for the wall (if ever funded). And it does not cost the Mexican government money because that money is spent by the families for living expenses--poor families owe little taxes. Mexican workers returning home have to be careful because their money is seized by civil forfeiture as possible drug money.
