Default Mitch McConnell Calls to Cut Social Security, Medicare

What the hell, aren't those asinine GOP tax cuts for the rich suppose to pay for themselves? They don't have a lot of money coming in due to those tax cuts and want to cut medicare and social security to address that ever increasing rising deficit!

After instituting a $1.5 trillion tax cut and signing off on a $675 billion budget for the Department of Defense, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday that the only way to lower the record-high federal deficit would be to cut entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

Better vote these pukes out of office next month, if you care about medicare and social security?!!

It is an unconscionable betrayal to lull workers / citizens / tax payer / voters / countrymen / humans into a feeling of security not just for years, not just for decades, but for generations, by telling them the $money being taken from them at gunpoint will benefit their retirement.
Take $money from workers for decades, and then tell them they're not getting anything in return is a monstrous disgrace.

I've long advocated Social Security privatization. But such politically conservative improvements are widely protested. It's probably more a matter of how.

    - Buy them out. Account for inflation, and return to the Social Security victims (as yet unretired citizens) that have paid in, but have not $received.

    - As a political expedient, make Social Security participation voluntary. That should soon put an end to it once and for all.
"It should be obvious to anyone why conservatives and libertarians should be against Trump. He has no grounding in belief. No core philosophy. No morals. No loyalty. No curiosity. No empathy and no understanding. He demands personal loyalty and not loyalty to the nation. His only core belief is in his own superiority to everyone else. His only want is exercise more and more personal power." smb / purveyor of fact 18/03/18

Exactly. As for the rest of us who legitimately worked and contributed all our lives, we're getting a COLA in January.
We got one back in January of '17 also.
    MAGA!
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Do away with Social Security, and we do away with Social Security fraud. There are other reasons. But that alone is more than reason enough.

Whatever the validity of your intended point, your potty-mouth style undermines it.

Yes it was created to give aid to the elderly, unemployed and children, non of us are saying that it should be taken away, were saying the system is and has been abused for a very long time by many people.

    "GUN POINT?????
    are you insane" e #10
    No.
And thank you very much for asking.
I'll walk you through it step by step *.
    - Any job applicant is obliged to accept the terms and conditions of the employer. And employers are obliged to accept the terms of government. And U.S. federal government REQUIRES most workers to contribute to Social Security.
    - CERTAINLY !! Those that wish to cheat may undertake to do so.
    - BUT !!
    - Cheat & get caught, and the cheater is at risk of receiving a letter from government designating the violation, and the parameters of compliance.
    - Ignore the letter, and an even more tersely worded letter may soon arrive.
    - Continue to ignore, continue to fail to comply with Social Security requirements, and despite whatever intervening events take place, EVENTUALLY they're going to send thugs with guns. It is as inevitable as the sunrise!
    "GUN POINT?????" e #10
    Yes. Most assuredly.
    "are you insane" e #10
    Sadly, no.
But those that think so utterly misapprehend government. Perhaps George Will can explain it to you better than I can.

"A government exists when it has a reasonable monopoly on the legitimate use of violence." George Will

    Note:
The government guns may not seem initially evident.

    BUT !!

Government's threat of their use is omnipresent. They can employ martial force for just about anything. Don't take my word for it. Just look at the beatings they gave the peaceful marchers that came across the Pettus bridge in MLK's march.

    * "There is no law that says we have to go to work every day and follow our employer's orders. Legally there is nothing to prevent us from going to live in the wild like primitive people or from going into business for ourselves. But in practice there is very little wild country left, and there is room in the economy for only a limited number of small business owners. Hence most of us can survive only as someone else's employee."
Excerpt from Unabomb Manifesto: author convict Theodore Kaczynski
"It should be obvious to anyone why conservatives and libertarians should be against Trump. He has no grounding in belief. No core philosophy. No morals. No loyalty. No curiosity. No empathy and no understanding. He demands personal loyalty and not loyalty to the nation. His only core belief is in his own superiority to everyone else. His only want is exercise more and more personal power." smb / purveyor of fact 18/03/18
