    Default Thread Request: Midterms

Not sure where to put this.

Im officially requesting a pinned thread where each person is only allowed to post once (they can edit if needed). In their post they put their predictions for each senate race and the final house tally (too many individual house races)

would be fun to refer to it after the fact.

One thing I am intrigued by is the 8th CD of WA. It is the only competitive district in the state, even though the GOP has controlled it for an eternity, thanks to superstar incumbents Jennifer Dunn and Sheriff Dave Reichert (who became somewhat of a celebrity for his pursuit of the Green River Killer). Dino Rossi, who had the gubernatorial election of 2004 stolen from him, is crushing his opponent by 10 points in a recent poll. Many thought this was one of those seats that Dems could flip.

Dino Rossi? Seriously? Even his name accurately implies corruption. But it isn't my district, so good luck with that.

Lol. Only a superficial LWNJ would think that. I'm guessing you think Ted Cruz "looks creepy", as well.

Ted Cruz will win again, he continues to be a favorite son, his early acting career as Eddie on the "Munsters" television series has endeared him to that generation forever

I believe the house will be very close with the final tally being 3 or 4 member difference one way or the other.

The Senate will remain in GOP control, it's just not mathematically possible to flip

If I had to guess, that’s about where I’d put it.

I’d hate to have money on any bet though. Nothing would surprise me.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

The Utah 4th C. D. is a toss up between Love and McAdams. In their recent debate, they tied each other to Trump and Pelosi, both of whom are disliked in Utah. This is a seat the Dems may win.

If AZ NV TN go red, the GOP will have 53 seats.

I am in the second so it appears that all of those Dino Rossi commercials can just be irritating to both of us.

I agree but I think the Democrats will win the House with 5ish extra seats.

I don’t make predictions, polls are unreliable, do they factor in the newly registered voters or just the likely to vote. Turn out will be a big factor in 2018.
