There have been lots of empty seats this season.

Can't really blame the NFL for pushing the anthem issue. They have to distract the fans from the scandal that really scares them. CTE.

I bet the gatewaypundit pics were taken during half time. There are empty seats that were paid for but the ticket holders didn't show up. It doesn't mean money was lost. This article is dated two years before the Kaepernick controversy.

"The Steelers have "sold out all 117 games" at the stadium since it opened in '01, and have a sellout streak dating to '72, plus "20 years worth of names" on their season ticket waiting list. But three of the past four Monday night games at Heinz Field "resulted in 9,125, 7,856 and 7,346 no-shows." Steelers CB Ike Taylor said, "It's a Monday and people have to work on a Tuesday. I understand. Everybody has to pay bills."

Reality: the NFL is about as honest as is the WWF. Its a business and they spread the wealth around. The powers that be know who is favored to win before the season starts. This season....with the move to LA and its large communication market, a sure bet is LA will be in the SUPERBOWL (all it takes is a little striped shirt manipulation at the right moment in any game, a penalty missed here a fake penalty called there).

No wonder they are losing money hand over fist.....the fans are beginning to see the whole picture. Piss on the entire league and it has nothing to do with the fake kneeling distraction.

Gateway Pundit, is more worthless then cake you made without sugar, or sweetener. I suppose you could at least try to use the cake as a doorstop, until it molds.

What is the price range for an NFL game?

    I just checked ticketron. https://www.ticketron.com/tickets/ni...triots-tickets

NFL Patriots stadium tickets start at $199.oo and go up to $2,146.oo

Is it any wonder there are empty seats?

For $2,000.oo I could spend one fantastic week at St. Maarten.

And as bad as the ticket prices are, the concession prices aren't much better. What are they getting for a frankfurter these days? $17.oo? It's silly!

A spectator that's sincerely interested in seeing the game will get a substantially better view in HD, or where available, UHD. And the TV can cost a fraction of the cost of stadium tickets. It pays for itself in 4 hours.

Been to St. Maarten twice. Loved both times...great place. Glad to see it mentioned!

Goddam runway scares the shit out of me, though!

Actually, the NFL has turned into the WWF. The 2 crybaby's Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady (along with the referees bogus "roughing" calls) have turned defenses into scared pansies, and too often (just like last night's "holding call"), late calls (some after the play's end) at the end of games have changed the outcomes.
Many professional racing series have changed for the worse as well, but that's another topic...
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Only watched the first half of last night's game.

It was a barn-burner. Enough offense for a full week-end. More long plays than I've ever seen in a single half.

One either likes the game or not.

For those who don't...watch a soccer match.

NFL is on shaky ground, parody and a few marquee matchups have saved them so far, the kneeling controversy could have gone terribly wrong, had someone actually kneeled.

NFL players realized it wasn't worth it and the risk to their overpaid livelyhood, which shows they stand for nothing, irony
