You are free to believe this shit. To me it's not a left/right issue. Perhaps if it seems that way to you, it's because you don't really understand the science behind it in any meaningful way?
That's the issue - I am not talking about AGW. Every single discussion of the environment or of protecting the environment is now framed around AGW. There are other aspects to the debate than AGW.

I'm not an AGW guy, and I abandoned that line of reasoning ages ago. I don't care about false doomsday predictions or the IPCC. I care about the fact that we don't adequately plan for sustainability or understand the nature of finite resources, and that we still pollute with abandon. I care that habitat is disappearing, as well as species, at an alarming rate.

I am an AGW agnostic but otherwise my view is pretty much the same as yours.

It's impossible to prove either way, no matter how sure either side sounds or how much "consensus" there is. It's a total distraction at this point, imo.

Then you truly don't grasp what has been predicted. None of the predictions have been for a 'doomsday' scenario to instantly occur by that time. Those are points at which if we go beyond that (and we have every time) the effects of climate change will become worse WHEN THEY DO OCCUR. They were never predicted to occur right away. We trash the atmosphere now, the effects come later. And after the effects come on so strong there can be no denial, by that time it is too late to simply give in and say 'oops, ok we'll stop.' There would be no way to undo it or make it go away. We have to act now. If we are already seeing more frequent and stronger hurricanes that rapidly intensify like Michael did, and more wildfires and drought, that is only a hint of what is to come. We must act now.

Science is usually correct. And we certainly don't have anything better to envision what's coming.

I'm not anti-environmental, but I question the science produced by activists. Not too long ago there reports of coral dying and the region declared a dead zone only to have it recover a few years later. Lots of activists out there skewing the data, omitting inconvenient data, substituting different types of data, and adjusting past data to make their paper say what they want it to say. You can call me anti-science if it means I demand replication in an age where scientists refuse to disclose their data and methods.

STFU with your "you don't grasp" bullshit. I have taken the time to learn all the science involved. I have a complete understanding of what the predictions entail, and the fact that they are based on a feedback equation which attributes the natural response of the entire CO2 effect to humans, who are only responsible for 5% of the total of the naturally occurring gas. It was not a mistake by climate modelers. The entire climate scare is built on faulty math. From the feedback equation, the model predicts 30% more forcing than is seen in the climate record. Yet you alarmists continue to believe the silly predictions when the skeptics have narrowed the transient climate response to about 1.5 degrees/doubling ....half of which we have already seen.

I'm sorry you're a dunning kruger allstar and think everyone who doesn't agree with you is stupid.

BTW, James Hansen predicted NYC would be under sea water by 2000

    Look it up, alarmist!

The real shame is morons like you believing the asinine argument that man is causing the climate to warm while ignoring the FACT that it has been in a warming trend the last 11 thousand years.

But in the middle of that you also had a mini ice age that lasted 500 years from the middle Ages. What gasoline engine caused that? Liberals are the most gullible dumbasses on the planet.
