a) Republicans continue the sorry practice of assailing anyone they disagree with as a "liberal".
b) It's a self-defeating fiction. Defaming an innocent group does not strengthen the Republican cause.
c) When the U.S. was Founded, entry to the U.S. was virtually unimpeded (by today's standards).
d) The citizenship birthright is written right into our Constitution.
Therefore those maliciously and ignorantly dismissed here as "Liberals" (sic) are actually the conservatives.
For one of the things true conservatives conserve is tradition. And the citizenship approach mentioned in the topic title was our Founding tradition. What could be more conservative than that?
