Default Kamala Harris now betting favorite among Democrats for 2020 election

As a betting man myself I appreciate these sites.

As a Californian I understand her appeal. 1960 was the last year a coastal Democrat won the Presidency (I'm counting Obama as from Chicago even though he has some Hawaii roots). Could Harris be the one to break the streak? It's possible of course, she's very talented. She also has a lot of work to do win appeal in fly over country.

Kamala Harris now betting favorite among Democrats for 2020 election

Oddsmakers are bullish on California Senator Kamala Harris' 2020 presidential chances.

According to online betting site Oddshark, Harris has surged into a tie with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for the best Democratic odds to win the 2020 presidential election.

President Donald Trump still has far and away the best odds at +140 (meaning a $100 bet would earn $140 for a Trump win) and is followed by Sanders and Harris at +1200 apiece.

Vice President Mike Pence and former VP Joe Biden are tied for the third best odds at +1400, and Senators Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker are tied for fourth at +2000.

Oddschecker, a site that compares odds across a number of prominent betting sites, also found that Harris consistently receives better odds than her Democratic counterparts.

The site gives Kamala Harris 9/2 odds to win the Democratic nomination, followed by Joe Biden with 11/2 odds.

Even though Oddschecker gives Harris better odds than Sanders to win the Democratic primary (9/2 to 6/1), the two both have identical 9/1 odds to win the presidential election, trailing President Trump who has 11/8 odds to get re-elected.

Harris has long been rumored to be a presidential candidate in 2020.

A May report from The Hill stated that Harris was gearing up for a "shadow campaign" in red states to help 2018 Democratic congressional candidates campaign for the midterm elections in November.

The California freshman senator is also set to release a memoir in early 2019, a move that has further fueled 2020 speculation.

I hope they run her. She has no chance after what she pulled with Kavanaugh.

I was trying to think of any soundbites from that about her. recall only soundbites matter for a campaign.
Simply pointing out the Dems loathsome behavior en toto isn't really enough to stick to her

Oh, really? No one they could POSSIBLY put up?

Cripes. No one considered Trump a candidate at this time before '16. Same w/ Obama at the same time.

The candidate will likely be someone we're not even talking about yet. I like Harris, but she's probably too polarizing to be a serious national candidate.

They are starting to lay the foundation for both Harris and Booker to be discredited. They were on the Kavanaugh Judiciary committee. Trump will start to mention them by name soon in his Pep Him Up Rally.

They'll have to keep guessing. While I think both would be fine candidates - and may even be VPs on a ticket - I think the final candidate will probably be someone who most wouldn't expect right now.

Trump will have to get more creative w/ the nicknames.

I’d love it if it was someone respected who has left the Party of Trump.

Sounds OK to me. She doesn't appear to be a rapist liar fat ugly thief clown ignoramus like the Repukes cult leader.
But those things work against her, don't they.

Who do you think would be the front runner at this point? While I agree it could end up being someone we aren't talking about, at this point they do not have any serious potential that has stepped into the spot light.

Booker has completely discredited himself at this point. They would be stupid to put him as their nominee. Which means he is likely the Dems nominee.

For American conservatives...it appears as though anyone who is not a suspected rapist, racist, liar, and damn near terminally ignorant...

    ...would be a non-starter.

They are the scum of the Earth...and want only their kind as candidates.
