This happens more often than we would think. I've seen it firsthand with a number of people.

The problem with your correlation, is that Ford knew what happened, and didn't seek counseling with her husband until the design of their house became a hotly contested debate. She had the scars. She had the memories. Now she has two front doors to go along with the nightmares.
