I thought a new thread would give a fresh start to discussions of the 2018 NCAA football season.
I can't wait to see Bama and Texas A&M square off today.

What day is Michaelmas on?
Alabama has three counting Sabin's 11 million, Locksleg and Lupoi, close to twenty million counting the whole staff, and although they do graduate football players, least according to the stats they supply to the NCAA, the majority of football players majors are "Exercise" and "Sport Science," which must be the 21st Century version of basketball weaving
It is semi pro football, isn't even close to the tag amateurism it portrays itself as, they should be paying the players
My mistake, I missed Lupoi.
Your suppositions about the areas of study of the players is noted. It is wrong, but noted. As a matter of fact, in Dec of 2015, Alabama took the field with 29 graduates on the roster, including several that received their Masters Degree. We had a QB a couple of years ago that was in the final running for a Rhodes Scholarship, and a 4 year starter on the offensive line that graduated with a degree in accounting and a GPA of 4.0.
So please take your hatred of jocks someplace else.

"sent a list of majors for the team. It shows the top four are Business, Exercise and Sport Science, Communications Studies and Criminal Justice, with 19, 17, 10 and 9 athletes respectively, https://www.secrant.com/rant/sec-foo...jors/58480543/
Hardly Phsyics, or even traditional Liberal Arts. And as for the master degree player and such, SEC is famous for maximum players to include third and fourth team players who aren't majoring in "sport science"

Nick Saban is the highest paid at $8,307,000 not including incentives.
The team with the best graduation rate is Northwestern
The team with worst graduation rate for football players is Florida International
Louisiana Tech at LSU. Dangerous game for LSU. We've seen what Troy State has done the last two yrs. Beat LSU then Texas this yr. La. Tech is no pushover.
