Michael Moore's new movie: Farenheit 11/9 debuts today.

The movie shows how Trump stumbled into the presidency, how bad the country has become (not great,) and pleads with the populace to wake up and take action.

Moore derives the title from the day Trump was declared president, but in many respects, that's merely the starting point for a much more elaborate argument. His primary thesis is that Trump is a symptom, not a cause, prompting the filmmaker to explore the labyrinth of factors that got us here

How fitting that it debuts on International Peace Day.

Michael Moore is a brilliant film maker and one of America's greatest true patriots.

    And he's right.

Trump isn't the cause of the racist / xenophobic / misogynist / fascist / anti-intellectual element in our society.

He's simply proof that they've been there all along.
He just drew them out from under their rocks.

Michael Moore is nothing other than a opportunistic fraud. The only film he could ever make that would be worth watching would be him having to run away from a pack of rabid dogs. It would be short film obviously.

I find Moore to be quite authentic. I've seen most of his films. He's usually got a good point, and he brings things to bear which may have been otherwise overlooked.

If you don't agree with him you should at least protect his right to free speech.

he's right, there has been a right wing putsch underway since Nixon at least

Reagan got it going when he funneled most of America's wealth to the wealthy and decimated the unions, Bush poured gasoline on the fire by getting two more huge tax cuts through and starting an endless war in the ME to fuel US Imperialism, and the tea party traitors boosted this asshole Trump to president which is still hard to believe

this shit was inevitable given not enough Americans voted to stop the insanity

It sounds like an interesting movie. I'll probably go watch it when it comes to town.
Yes. Things didn't suddenly get like this, it's been there for years, percolating in plain sight.
