Default Walmart warns Trump tariffs may force higher prices - report

Walmart, the shopping choice of poorly educated bloated pasty faced cross wearers , who will now pay more..... MAGA!!!!

The world’s largest retailer has issued a warning to its customers about the impact tariffs will have.

Two weeks ago, Walmart wrote to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, warning that if the Trump administration imposes a tariff on Chinese imports, it may hike product prices, according to a letter seen by Reuters.

Walmart said the tariff would impact prices of everything from food products to beverages and personal care items.

I doubt if the Toadstool base cares very much because such things are beyond their comprehension. When they discover that prices of stuff they used to get at a reasonable cost are rapidly increasing and start wailing, Toadstool will find a way to blame the (D)s and/or Obama and Hillary, and they'll swallow it whole.

    Hey, wait a minute, there!

Wages have only nudged up, but now the cost of living is getting hiked up higher?

But that doesn't make America great.

    What happened?

    Did, -gasp- President Trump FAIL???

I'm puzzled......isn't this exactly what the left has been hoping for twenty years?.......that Walmart would stop selling cheap Chinese knockoffs instead of American made products?........

Excellent, the higher prices go the fewer government subsidized workers they will employ. Maybe one day they will be as left-leaning as Amazon in that regard.

Was there something about a pay raise with this news? Or are you referring to that joke of pretend one they did after the tax cut for the rich.

I thought Amazon was infamous for low pay but because they are left leaning many/most liberals don't complain. They complain about Walmart because of its perceived right leaning politics

    I have criticized both.

I refuse to shop at either.

They are bad for society, bad for our economy.

Fair enough, you have principles on the issue. According to Owl, for example, only "RWNJ's" complain about Amazon yet Bernie Sanders is trying to pass an anti-Amazon bill punishing them for not paying workers enough.
