Multiple people were killed in a shooting at a Rite Aid distribution center in Harford County, Maryland, and a woman has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The shooting was reported just after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Liberty Support facility, which is part of a Rite Aid distribution center. The facility is located in the area of Spesutia Road and Perryman Road in Perryman, just south of Aberdeen, Maryland.

There are multiple injuries and fatalities, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said at a news conference Thursday morning.

She ended up dead as well. This sounds more like a workplace violence attack rather than the mass shooting of strangers.... probably sparked by some dispute. Poor families of those who lost loved ones.

How could this have happened in Maryland. The Brady Campaign who ranks states on the "quality" of their gun laws ranked Maryland as the 7th strictest gun law state. Maryland supposedly had laws that keep guns away from dangerous people. I'm also willing to bet that law on the books in Maryland say something about murder being illegal. Why didn't those strict laws and laws against murder being written down stop this killer? Maybe the facility didn't post gun free zone signs. That would have done it.
