Manafort’s overture had been received, the July 2016 message informed him. And Oleg Deripaska, a Russian billionaire with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, would be back in touch soon.

In the months before the 2016 elections, Manafort, then Trump’s campaign chairman, had tried repeatedly to reach out to Deripaska through intermediaries, according to emails revealed last year by the Washington Post and the Atlantic. The two men’s relationship went back a decade; Manafort had worked as a political consultant for Deripaska’s business interests in Eastern Europe in the mid-2000s.

I've seen Moscow meetings (not this supposed Stalin dacha )where Putin specifically tells the oligarchs that they won't have to have a corrupt relation with the Kremlin,if they pay taxes, and don't run corrupt enterprises
What's hilarious is, Deripaska actually has direct ties to Meuller when he was the FBI director. They worked together when Deripaska used millions of dollars of his own money to try and recover a retired FBI agent captured in Iran.

In 2009, when Mueller ran the FBI, the bureau asked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to spend millions of his own dollars funding an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent, Robert Levinson, captured in Iran while working for the CIA in 2007.

once again we see da Russians are cast as the boogeyman. This was kina like Carter being de-briefed on every trip to Russia, and then the IC repays him with a phony FISA calling him a foreign agent!

There won't be any indictment. The president can't really be indicted. He could be impeached, though. That could occur after Mueller makes his report, and after the midterms.
