Two Prince George's County police officers were shot Wednesday night.

Prince Geroge's County, MD - Two Prince George's County police officers were shot Wednesday night in the District Heights area.

The incident happened in the 2700 block of Lorring Drive at around 10:30 p.m. according to WUSA9.

None of the circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released.

Both officers have been airlifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma. The department said that the officers are believed to be stable.

No information has been released about the gunman.

This shooting comes shortly after two Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputies were shot in East Los Angeles. Another officer was shot in a mass shooting earlier in the day in Pennsylvania.

This latest shooting makes at least 5 officers shot so far on Wednesday in the U.S.

Why yes. I lost two colleagues a couple of years ago because a customer lied about the contents of waste in a drum and the drum exploded when they were processing it. One man was killed instantly and the other languished in the hospital with third degree burns for a week before succumbing.

Yes there were but in those cases criminal charges are hard to apply cause of the corporate blame game and how it's played. The Company responsible for the explosion was cited and fined. Don't know if any of their personnel responsible faced criminal charges.
