A different statement, so yes, I'll stand corrected. But, he's still placing the blame on the country and it doesn't change the fact that he's disrespecting the flag and the national anthem.
It also doesn't change the fact he could have gained far more support if he chose a different method of protest and didn't place the blame on the country as a whole. He's still an asshole.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.
