Prosecutors from CPS Counter Terrorism Division have considered the evidence and have concluded there is sufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction and it is clearly in the public interest to charge Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, who are Russian nationals, with the following offences:

we completely disagree on Libyan war aftermath. Probably on Russiaphbia as well - but the key to any conversation is respect for the other guy's views and a willingness to LISTEN to all sides.

they don't really know the identities, and the leaps to a GRU connection is pure speculation.

I fail to see what Putin gains out of all this. what's the motivation?

He has already said that his enemies are not safe, even if they run to another country. There have been many mysterious deaths of Russians in England.
