Trump didn't make the numbers up, or cause Maria. The PR governor also hired an incompetant electrical company to fix the rube goldberg mess they had for power

Contract Scandal In Puerto Rico May Say More About The Utility Than It Says About Trump

In the mainland U.S., this story has primarily been framed as the result of conflicts of interest between the administration and corporate entities. But there’s another context worth considering: Puerto Rico’s public electric utility has a long history of sloppy management. Ricardo Ramos had been executive director of the Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (also known as the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, or PREPA) only since March. Few of his predecessors lasted very long in the job, either. Since 2009, there have been seven executive directors of AEE, Ramos included, and he’s not the only one who lost the job under a cloud of scandal. One, Alberto Escudero, left after four days.

Nice try. All I hear is a deep blue, non-state trying to blame every death on that island since that storm ON that storm, and in turn trying to blame that storm on Trump. They had the same warnings as everyone else, and still they got knocked on their asses. Like they always have been. They are in a bad place, evidently, and they ALWAYS suffer catastrophic damage even in weaker tropical storms. Have you heard anyone dispute the 64 death total in the past year? Funny, not a peep until barely 8 weeks until the mid-terms!

We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.

    Hello Centerleftfl,

Isn't it the biggest most beautiful disaster of government neglect you've ever seen?
