I think you are right in that it happened in 72, but aside from the begging of the story of the break in didn't factor in the election.
I was in college......I remember saying to people, "Remember the name Watergate.....if you vote for Nixon whenever you hear that word you will regret it:.......

    you 2?
I was only 18 and didn't campaign but was a McGovern supporter because of the war.

You were a "lib'rul" back then?
Just curious as to what "woke you up" from it.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Trump's support skews old. Are they going to refuse to pick up their social security check? His younger supporters are mostly losers.

    Bring it on!
Leviticus 19:33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong. 34 The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the homeborn among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

    Admits he is wrong...kudos
Then justifies it... can't admit being wrong.

So we should have voted for Hillary after she broke the law with her private email server?

No. Even if the Democrats win control of the Senate they will not have close to a 2/3 vote necessary for conviction (without additional disclosures).

It will be hard for the Dems to win control of the Senate just because there are so many more Democratic senators being elected (26/35). They will need 23 to win the House and the average loss for the president's party in mid-term elections is 26.

Why do you useful idiots always ASSume that the people support Trump when it is only a small minority of fools that do?

No, you could have voted for an honest patriot like Evan McMullin, or Darrell Castle. However, since you, and millions of others, lack the integrity to do what is best for the country you chose to vote for the "other crook" based on partisan politics, not patriotism.

This is not a normal midterm election.
We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.
    Ergo, religion.

    rac·ist
    rāsəst/noun
a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
Ask yourself honestly if this describes what you believe to be true.
If the answer is yes, you are a racist.

Oh that's just Rudy being Rudy.

Just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

    He's a lawyer.

    He has no crystal ball.

Americans are not going to revolt against their government.

Some crack pots may try, and our government forces will put them down in short order, over and done.

And then suddenly the boldness of the rest of the big talkers will vaporize when they realize they would be dying for a hopeless lost cause.

They would rather sit safely at computers and hurl insults at unknown people who say things they don't want to hear.

I keep asking, what would Pence do differently? It won’t be Clinton replacing Trump, it will be Pence.
