Default 10 legal experts on why Trump can’t pardon his way out of the Russia investigation

There will be serious repercussions and backlash if Trump pardons that scoundrel Manafort?!!

Paul Manafort was just convicted. Here’s what you need to know about the president’s pardon power.

President Trump’s former campaign chair, Paul Manafort, was just found guilty on Tuesdayon five tax evasion charges, two other bank fraud charges, and one failure-to-report charge.

When Manafort was indicted, many observers believed he would save himself by flipping against Trump and cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. But that never happened. Instead, Manafort decided to plead “not guilty,” even though the evidence against him was overwhelming and he was facing serious prison time if convicted.

Trump's early pardons show that he knew it was going to end up with him pardoning his way out of the door. He didn't care about those he pardoned. He was just normalizing pardoning. He was cheapening the whole idea so when he needed them later, they would not look so desperate and purposeful. The rightys will say "pardoning is no big deal, they happen all the time". but they don't. Trump will make them look that way though.
He pardoned D'Souza a right wing commentator

2 Oregon ranchers jailed for arson

    Scooter Libby. Nixonite

ArPaio.. who refused a higher court order

    Jack Johnson.. long gone boxer

    Rabashkin.. jailed for money laundering

Does anyone think Trump knew who they were and cared about them?
He had a couple others too.

I'm having a hard time seeing Mike Pence and his Christian Crusaders in the White House. I think I would rather suffer through another 2 years with Trump than let Pence and the Jesus Freaks get anywhere near the wheels, buttons, levers of Power.
