Default Manafort jury sent a question to the judge

Define reasonable doubt. The judge clarified that a verdict is not based on a possible doubt...must be a reasonable doubt.

Just heard this on FOX news.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

The Latest: Jury sends 4 questions to Manafort judge

    5:15 p.m.

The jury in the fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has submitted a note to the judge with four questions.

The questions came as the jury began deliberations Thursday.

One question asked for a redefinition of “reasonable doubt.” Others dealt with the list of exhibits, filing rules for foreign bank accounts and the definition of the term “shelf companies,” used to describe some foreign companies used by Manafort.

Judge T.S. Ellis told the jury they need to rely on their collective memory of the evidence to answer most questions. He provided a basic restatement of his earlier instructions about reasonable doubt.

The jury briefly resumed deliberations after submitting the note. They are to continue deliberating Friday.

Manafort jury ends first day with questions, including definition of 'reasonable doubt'

The jury in the criminal trial against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort sent a note to the judge asking him to redefine "reasonable doubt" and answer three other questions as their first day of deliberations drew to a close.

Judge T.S. Ellis III, who reconvened court to answer the questions orally for the 12-member jury shortly after 5 p.m., said the government is not required to prove the defendant's guilt beyond all possible doubt — only doubt based on reason.

Manafort's defense team said the jury's question about reasonable doubt is the best question the defense can get.

"It indicates someone has doubts," the team said.

It indicates that someone does not know what the legal definition of doubt is.
