The irony is that Antifa is arguably more Nazi-like than the white nationalists.

White nationalism is an ideology: it’s the notion that white [European, actually] culture is superior to other cultures. The Alt-right has a lot white nationalists in that sense. They think white culture should be preserved yada yada. The idea, in of itself, is fairly benign.

In fact, culture preservation is ‘a thing’ on the left. Black culture is celebrated, for example. Native American culture is too etc. In at least one sense, the alt right brand of white nationalism is a reaction to all of that.

Everyone wants their culture celebrated lol.

Hitler’s version of racial supremacy was much more virulent. In his ugly book he would go on about extolling the virtues of ‘Aryan’ culture; but most importantly, he was willing to take the next step. Everyone knows what followed.
