I consider this to be a vote. If I get negative feedback I'll turn the active notification back on. Each person can go in and see who quoted them, it only changes whether you get a red notification...

Make a habit of hitting the Settings area and view them. Same place, the same notifications, it just won't appear in your notifications list...

Anyway, you can still see who quoted you and be able...
