Pentagon To Host Good Friday Service Just For Protestants, Not Catholics

The Pentagon has invited more than 3,500 employees to attend a Good Friday service at its in-house chapel. Except it’s only for Protestants, not Catholics.

“Just a friendly reminder: There will be a Protestant Service (No Catholic Mass) for Good Friday today at the Pentagon Chapel,” reads a Friday email sent by Air Force leadership, a copy of which was shared by an employee.

“I guess so the Catholics know their kind ain’t welcome,” said this employee, who requested anonymity to speak about internal communications. “It’s so ridiculous.”

A Pentagon spokesperson confirmed it is not hosting another, separate religious service for Catholic employees.

“The Protestant service is the only service scheduled in the Pentagon chapel today,” they said in a statement.

He better enjoy his last days as Secretary. Trump is starting to blame Hegseth for the war.

I have an online friend I've known for 20 years.

Real right-wing MAGAtroid trump sucker.

Most of our friendship has revolved around endless political arguments.

Anyway, he's a NJ Italian and so naturally, from a Catholic family.

I can only imagine the knots he's going to have to twist himself into, in defense of this. 😆😆😆

I certainly hope so. Why do you think Hegseth is banning Jewish service people from celebrating Passover?
Just the opposite. No one is banning Jews from celebrating Passover at the Pentagon. Trump's son-in-law the Jew Jarod Kushner is certainly welcome to celebrate Passover at the Pentagon.
The Pentagon and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) support Jewish and Kosher-for-Passover meals to troops worldwide. The efforts aim to boost morale for thousands of Jewish personnel in uniform, providing essential items for celebrating during deployment or in restricted environments.

Now show us where Hegseth bands Jewish service people from celebrating Passover.

Israeli Jews and American service members alike are tightly woven together in their fight to
destroy the evil IRGC, so, having Jews celebrate Passover at the Pentagon is a given no-brainer.

Would any Jews be welcomed at the Pentagon to celebrate their Passover?
No one is banning Jews from celebrating Passover at the Pentagon.
Then why did you ask the question?

Trump's son-in-law the Jew Jarod Kushner is certainly welcome to celebrate Passover at the Pentagon.
Why would we allow random people into the Pentagon? Shouldn't we limit people allowed into the Pentagon to people actually in the military, or civilian contractors. I can understand having soldiers practice their own religion on military bases, but why would random civilians unconnected to the military need to practice their religion on a military base?

Now show us where Hegseth bands Jewish service people from celebrating Passover.
I never said he did, so why would I show you that he did?

A Pentagon spokesperson confirmed that only a single Protestant service was scheduled for Good Friday at the Pentagon Memorial Chapel, with no specific Catholic service offered.

A Pentagon official stated this was because the Catholic chaplain was not in town.

How quickly you forgot that it was 'YOU' who asked me "Why do you (meaning me) think that Hegseth is banning people from celebrating Passover?"

I never said or even referred that Hegseth is banning Jews from celebrating Passover. Nope, you are one saying that. Time for you to own up to that false statement of yours.

You asked the weird question "Would any Jews be welcomed at the Pentagon to celebrate their Passover?", and I answered, "I certainly hope so.", and asked back "Why do you think Hegseth is banning Jewish service people from celebrating Passover?"

The Office of the Chief of Chaplains has a staff of chaplains, many of which are Catholics. I have a hard time believing there were no Catholic chaplains in the DC area.

"Why do you think Hegseth is banning Jewish service people from celebrating Passover?"
There you go again repeating the same question that clearly shows that you claim Hegesth is banning Jewish people from celebrating Passover. He's not banning Jewish people from celebrating Passover. Show us where Hegseth says he band Jewish people from celebrating Passover. Give us the direct quote.

It doesn't say Catholic arent welcome it just says that the service is not a mass. Mass isn't celebrated on good Friday anyway. I've been to catholic weddings and they reminded Catholics in attendance the wedding mass doesn't count as a Catholics obligation to attend sunday mass.

It's irrelevant. A Catholic can go to a protestant service. They just wanted Catholics to know it's not a mass besides no masses are said on good Friday in the Catholic Church

Catholics would want the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, but they do not get it in Hegseth's Pentagon.
