1. if someone is charged with 2nd degree murder, how does manslaughter come into play with re: to be given to the jury to decide? Does it just get tacked on? Does manslaughter "inherit" a lot of things that might make up some elements of 2nd degree murder but not all?

2. In what circumstances could someone be found not guilty of 2nd degree but guilty of manslaughter? how do they generally diverge in what they encapsulate?

3. if defense moves for a directed verdict and wins that, does that mean manslaughter can't be given to the jury either?

4. how does our legal system work in that you have defense trying to spend all their time arguing against 2nd degree murder, when they could be arguing against manslaughter as well? Do they generally try to take out both at the same time in arguments?

Dude, you look EXACTLY like an older Marine buddy of mine here. It's almost creepy.

As you should be aware, we recently implemented a feature on JPP that allows thread creators to ban those that they feel would be disruptive from their threads.

This has allowed users that typically are harassed, or have had their threads trolled, to have a wider degree of latitude with regards to guiding the conversation in their own threads.

We've been doing a month trial, and now we are polling the community to find out what they think of the feature so far. We really would like to get your opinion on whether or not we should keep it.

Well there are 7 different types in the shop I went to. So far picked up a 1887 reserve, a 'evil', and a ancient reserve, all from Gurkha. Goin back for the other 4 next week.
