As you should be aware, we recently implemented a feature on JPP that allows thread creators to ban those that they feel would be disruptive from their threads. This has allowed users that typically are harassed, or have had their threads trolled, to have a wider degree of latitude with regards to guiding the conversation in their own threads. We've been doing a month trial, and now we are polling the community to find out what they think of the feature so far. We really would like to get your opinion on whether or not we should keep it. Please go to this thread: http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sho...n-quot-feature And cast your vote. Thank you. - JPP
our trinity has 5 members, not 4. brent is in it too.
virginia, eastern ohio, north carolina (all relevant)
But look where the impact of the Storm has been? There solidly democratic States. The total impact on early voting might be two or three days where Obama is probably going to win anyways. This storm wasn't like an Andrew or a Katrina. So I doubt over all that it has much of an impact at all in terms of people getting to the polls to vote.
it's interesting cause I could see this going either way. It's negative for obama because democrats still rely heavily on early voting, and this has to put a dent in that. On the other hand, democrats are already leading in early voting, and if shit isn't cleaned up on election day, do you think the (generally older) conservatives are going to wade through knee deep water? doubtful
Darn....and here I thought you were actually worried about me! Probably won't have much impact. Sandy was no Andrew or Katrina and Obama is no George W. Bush. It's at best a net break even or net lose situation. Obama breaks even on the situation if he manages it competently and it appears he is. He loses if he fucks up the response which doesn't appear to be the case. Romney only loses is he says or does something stupid. He he keeps his mouth shut about Sandy, it won't affect him in the least. If Obama were smart he'd be in New York/New Jersey today or tomorow directing the response but not campaining or doing photo ops.
in case you were wondering i wasn't concerned about your wellbeing I was just curious how it effects the election
Not bad. Some snow and a few places had their power lines knocked down. That's about it.
mass wasn't really affected that much by the hurricane. how's ohio holding up?
